Another curfew in August Town



A curfew has been imposed in sections of August Town, St Andrew which has been the scene of multiple killings since the start of the new year. It is the second time since the start of 2019 that a curfew has been imposed in the area. The curfew began at 6:00 pm Sunday and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm Tuesday The boundaries of the curfew are as follows: NORTH: Along an imaginary line approximately 471 metres running parallel to Dallas Road from Berry Road vicinity Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre to the deep corner at the hillside; EAST: Along the hillside approximately 1830 metres from the deep corner to the farm at Marl Road; SOUTH: Along an imaginary line approximately 424 metres from the farm at Marl Road to the Hope River vicinity Berry Road; WEST: Along an imaginary line approximately 1870 metres from the Hope River vicinity Berry Road to Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre. During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorized in writing by the ground commander.
